Why are you proud to serve on the KHSC board of trustees?

Dr. Gaston: KHSC is how the Riverside Health Foundation is leaving a legacy for the city of Wichita from the DO community and how it’s supporting medical education in the city of Wichita.

What do you believe will be the biggest impact on the local community from this project?

Dr. Gaston: KHSC will have a huge financial impact on Wichita. It’s also revitalizing downtown and providing physicians for western Kansas.

What accomplishment are you most proud of from your personal career?

Dr. Gaston: Starting a practice in my hometown of Wichita and being in the same practice for 25 years and counting. I joined Dr. J.P. Smith in 1994 and he retired in 2016. Not many physicians start and stay in the same place, especially for that long. From a personal standpoint, I also have a strong commitment to my family and appreciate their patience through the years.
